holocaust



What was the objective of the Holocaust?
to rid the world of all "unholy" people, mostly jews 
When/Where did it take place?
it took place in most of europe, and it went from 1933 to 1945
What countries were involved?
it was in Poland, Germany, the Czech republic, Lithuania, the Soviet union, Greece, the Netherlands, Hungary, and many other european countries
Who were the Nazis?
the Nazies were a group in the national socialist party until Hitler took it over
How did it start?
Hitler wanted to have power over Germany so he convinced the people that he was going to help them, then he convinced everyone all jews were evil because of  a passage in the bible that stated Jesus was killed by a jew
How did it end? 
troops of allied forces infiltrated the camps and closed them one by one
What was a Concentration or Labour Camp?
a concentration or labour camp was a place where "unholy" people would be sent to be exterminated or put to work depending on what you knew and could do
Who was targeted?  Why?  How many?
people who weren't Christian (mostly jews) were targeted along with anyone who believed that others who believed in other religions weren't evil, roughly 11 000 000 were killed
Why didn’t anyone stop it from happening?
people didn't stop this because they either didn't know, didn't believe it, or didn't care
